Cadence, an electronic design firm, has earned a spot on the Best Companies to Work For list for 10 consecutive years. The company provides a wide range of technology products such as software, hardware, and chips, creating systems for the automotive, mobile, aerospace, and health care industries. Cadence offers up to eight weeks of paid time off for employees who need to manage care for themselves or a loved one. The company provides cancer support, as well as fertility support through Progyny Smart Cycle, a program offering fertility treatment plans, including IVF, artificial insemination, and egg freezing, along with surrogacy and adoption counseling. Cadence has invested $50 million to address racial wealth inequality in affordable housing, homeownership, and small businesses, areas where minority communities have historically faced disadvantages.

Celebrating its eighth year on the list, software and electronic design company Cadence is prioritizing diversity with the introduction of five new inclusion groups for Black, Latinx, and LGBTQ+ employees, as well as veterans and women. The company has also helped its employees thrive in a virtual environment by creating manager training and toolkits to help leaders navigate remote work. Cadence offers additional health coverage for transgender employees, as well as resources for staff who have a child in their family with a developmental disability. Beyond these extra forms of support, the company has also prioritized compensation: In the past three years, Cadence has reached pay parity based on race and ethnicity in the U.S. and gender globally.
