While we gaze in awe of their screen or stage work, sometimes A-Listers’ IQ’s are at the back of our mind. But in order to remove stereotyping stars for their public persona (and seemingly reducing their other fine qualities), maybe we should consider some of their talents and achievements.
Kesha, may be known for her party bangers, but the singer also has a penchant for maths — and an incredibly high IQ to boot. Meanwhile, Lisa Kudrow, famed for playing the ditzy and loveable Phoebe on Friends, has a Bachelor of Science and even assisted her father with his research paper exploring the causes of headaches.

Ashton Kutcher
While Ashton Kutcher has starred in a plethora of Hollywood blockbusters, during his early days he was typecast as the dopey teenager. But little do fans of That ’70s Show and Dude, Where’s My Car know that Kutcher bears no similarities to some of his former on-screen characters.
The-now 44-year-old has an estimated IQ of 160, evident in his humanitarian work (he’s assisted with the plight of child trafficking) and investment work. The actor, who previously played Steve Jobs in a biopic, has invested in several start-up IT companies before they hit the big time— some of which include Uber, Spotify, Airbnb, Skype and Shazam. He’s reportedly got a portfolio worth millions of dollars.

Kesha
She may sing about the thrill and rush of getting ready for parties in ‘Tik Tok,’ but Kesha is seeming speedy when it comes to working out equations. The singer previously revealed in an interview (which ironically went viral via TikTok) that she “love[s]” maths. “I used to really get off on math, like math makes me hot. Like I love it.”
The Californian songwriter reportedly has an IQ of 140, and received an SAT score of 1500 —just shy of perfection, being 1600. “It’s kind of like solving mysteries, math problems. Sometimes when I get drunk I’ll talk to my guitar player and be like ‘give me a math problem’!”

Cindy Crawford
Before she pursued modelling full-time, Cindy Crawford was studying chemical engineering (with mathematics) at Northwestern University. While the supermodel didn’t end up completing her degree, which she was also offered a scholarship for, it’s clear she made the right professional decision. Crawford became the highest paid model of the ’90s.
However, if modelling didn’t work out for her she told Vogue in a “73 Questions” video she’d likely be a teacher. Understandable, given she was her high school valedictorian with an IQ of 154.

Matt Damon
Who knew that Matt Damon shared some parallels with his über smart Good Will Hunting character? Damon was previously an English Literature student at Harvard, and despite being just 12 credits short of graduation —he dropped out to hone in on his other talent, acting.
But Damon’s time at Harvard certainly didn’t go to waste as he wrote a rough draft for Good Will Hunting during one of his playwriting classes. The Hollywood heavyweight, who boasts an IQ of 160, famously completed the project with his longtime friend Ben Affleck.

She’s been famous forever, scoring her first major film role in Martin Scorsese’s iconic Taxi Driver, but Jodie Foster perhaps could have taken on any career. She reportedly taught herself to read at the age of three, but also studied at a prestigious French school in Los Angeles —whilst working as a child star. However, the double work-load didn’t seem to get the best of her.
Foster, who has an IQ of 132, was high school valedictorian. The star continued to juggle her screen work with academic following school as she studied upper-level French at Yale University. To no one’s surprise she graduated with honours.

While her Friends character, Phoebe, had a heart of gold —she wasn’t necessarily the sharpest tool in the shed. Lisa Kudrow, on the other hand, couldn’t be further from her iconic character. With an IQ of 154, Kudrow graduated from Vassar College in New York with a Bachelor of Science before working with her father, a headache specialist, while picking up odd acting jobs.
During this time, she assisted with his research —gaining credit herself —for his study on the comparative likelihood of left-handed individuals developing clusterheadaches. Six months after graduation, however, Kudrow gave up science for screen —and we couldn’t be more thankful. Can you imagine anyone else singing ‘Smelly Cat?’
