The star has parted ways with Living Proof, the brand in which she previously had a stake

Jennifer Aniston may be many things to many people, but as of now, she is no longer a hair product executive. Cosmetics giant Unilever has bought Living Proof, the haircare line in which she’s had a stake since 2012, and she will no longer be associated with the brand.
WWD reported the sale Friday, noting that though terms of the exact sale weren’t available, it was confirmed that Aniston will no longer maintain her share in or affiliation with the Massachusetts-based company due to Unilever’s 100 percent stake in the brand. A representative for the brand told PeopleStyle they weren’t able to comment further on the deal.
Unilever has been adding to its “prestige” portfolio in 2017, acquiring luxury beauty brands including Kate Somerville and Murad, but this will be its first “prestige” haircare purchase (it currently owns brands including Suave, Dove and Tresemmé).

Aniston not only was a part owner of the brand, but she served as its best spokesmodel for years (thanks in large part to her very famous hair). She also served as de facto research, telling PeopleStyle “I test hair products on my friends like they’re Barbie dolls!” and admitting that her current more low-maintenance look (thanks to the brand) was much more her speed than “The Rachel,” she made famous.
No word on what brand is ready to step in to be there for her now that she’s no longer a Living Proof loyalist.
