The highs and lows of Evely's life and the tough decisions that take her there are what make this book so interesting. The largest takeaway from 'The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo' was how you really don't know the private lives of celebrities.
Celia had a childlike, girl-next-door kind of face with big, round, pale blue eyes, long lashes, cupid's bow lips, and long strawberry-red hair with golden undertones that resulted from nature and sunlight.
Monique is furious. All her life she believed that her father was responsible for his own death and that he had driven drunk and lost control of the car. Monique is irate that Evelyn framed him for his own death and ruined his legacy.

Monique is angry but slowly realizes what Evelyn has said between the lines: she intends to end her own life, rather than suffer through a lengthy battle with cancer.
